EU Ecolabel
The European Commission awards the EU Ecolabel to products that have a lower environmental impact than comparable products and are therefore healthier and more environmentally friendly. The criteria differ depending on the product group. In the case of textile and cleaning products, evaluation is based on the proportion of recycled materials, the limitation of toxic chemicals, the biodegradability as well as the cleaning performance and durability.
